TelevisaUnivision is expanding its sports portfolio, including Spanish-language rights to the Super Bowl, along with bringing back famed host Don Francisco.
The Hispanic media giant revealed the news Tuesday during its upfront presentation to advertisers in New York.
The company has added new and renewed rights to soccer, inking its first deal for CONMEBOL
Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana. It also renewed CONCACAF‘s Gold Cup and Nations League, and extended Mexican National Team matches through 2034.
Broadcast flagship Univision has also sublicensed Spanish-language rights to Super Bowl LXI next February in a deal with Disney. The telecasts have been growing as the NFL looks to expand globally, scheduling games in Brazil, Mexico and many other parts of the world.
As Formula 1 continues its new rights deal with Apple, Univision also reached a sublicense for the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November, TelevisaUnivision announced.

The company also highlighted its progress in streaming, with total hours of viewing on Vix passing 1 billion in the most recent quarter. Engagement is up 15% year-over year, and 86% of U.S. Hispanic households have now spent time on Vix.
On the entertainment front, Univision said it is bringing back legendary host Don Francisco, who spent decades as a mainstay in the broadcaster’s lineup. He will appear in what TelevisaUnivision is billing as “a new limited event series featuring interviews, surprises, nostalgia, and unforgettable reunions.”
TelevisaUnivision was created via a merger of Univision and the entertainment arm of Mexican telco giant Televisa. The $4.8 billion deal closed in 2022.
