When it comes to celebrity weddings, reams have been written about the stonking, surprisingly minimal, or endlessly evolving engagement rings of the A-list: the two Cartier bands Prince Rainier III of Monaco gave to Grace Kelly; the 16 different rocks Victoria Beckham has received since David first presented her with a marquise-cut diamond in 1998; Taylor Swift’s old-mine cut stone, fuelling an interest in antique diamonds once crafted to twinkle in candlelight; and Dua Lipa’s modern, chunky bezel-set band, designed by Milan brand EERA, which led her to tell to British Vogue, “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me.”
But what of the additional jewels celebrities have chosen to wear when they said “I do”? One of them—a hefty tiara from 1994, adorned with 2,000 Swarovski crystals—saw a certain French-Canadian singer end up in hospital with a lump the size of an egg on her forehead, spending the first three weeks of married life on a strong course of antibiotics. From priceless Bulgari heirlooms to Brat-inspired bling, read on for the best celebrity wedding jewelry of all time.

Who else but Charli xcx would (could?) wear multi-million-dollar bling with a black push-up bra to their own wedding? In true Brat style, the singer swapped the sheer chiffon drapery of her Daniel Frankel bridal gown for very little at all at her wedding after-party in the small Sicilian village of Scopello. Dancing the night away alongside guests including Troye Sivan, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Devon Lee Carlson, Shygirl, Matty Healy, and Gabbriette, she opted for sexy lingerie and a Riviera-style diamond necklace centred on a jaw-dropping cushion-cut diamond pendant, reportedly worth $25 million.
Dua Lipa
At her London wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall in May 2026, Dua Lipa said “I do” to one of the most recognisable jewelry motifs of all time. She complemented the gold hardware of her Bianca Jagger-inspired Schiaparelli Haute Couture skirt suit with a Bulgari High Jewelry necklace that coiled around her neck, culminating in the pink-gold-and-diamond-swathed head of a snake. (Elizabeth Taylor was also a fan of the Serpenti design, first introduced by the Roman house in 1948, which became a seductive symbol of her affair with Richard Burton on the set of Cleopatra.) A week later in Sicily, at her night-before welcome drinks in Piazza Croce dei Vespri, Lipa again looked to the writhing motif—pairing her fringed leather Bottega Veneta party dress with a chunky Serpenti necklace featuring a pear-cut tanzanite centre stone, while not one but two snake-head watches coiled around her wrist with colored gemstones.
Elizabeth Taylor
Richard Burton once said of jewelry obsessive Elizabeth Taylor, “The only word she knows in Italian is Bulgari.” After falling in love on the set of Cleopatra in Rome in 1962, while both were married to other people, the passion-fuelled pair spent significant time ensconced inside the Roman jeweler’s Via Condotti VIP Room. For her first wedding to Burton, in Montreal in 1964 (the pair would marry for a second time in Botswana in 1975), Taylor wore the emerald-and-diamond Bulgari brooch Burton had given her as an engagement present, pinning it to a sunflower-yellow dress designed by Cleopatra costume designer Irene Sharaff. Taylor wore the brooch again on several notable occasions. It was pinned to an off-the-shoulder dress in 1963’s The VIPs, before being transformed into a pendant on an even more extravagant emerald-and-diamond necklace, which she wore to accept her Oscar for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in 1967.
Priyanka Chopra
When Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas married in 2018, they celebrated with multiple ceremonies at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, both Christian and Hindu, to formalise their union. For the Western ceremony, Chopra wore a custom Ralph Lauren gown encrusted with more than two million mother-of-pearl sequins, complete with a 25-foot train so enormous it had to be carried by five people. Equally dramatic, she completed the look with oodles of Chopard diamonds. Later, for the Hindu ceremony, Chopra changed into a bead-encrusted lehenga by renowned Indian couturier Sabyasachi, featuring hand-cut organza flowers and intricate embroidery that took nearly 4,000 hours to craft. She finished the look with layers of necklaces and bracelets set with diamonds, pearls and emeralds.
