Maison Margiela’s fall-winter 2026 campaign turns being recognized into something unsettling. Actress Rebecca Hall stars in “Anonymity,” photographed and directed by Thibaut Grevet, as the trailer for a thriller that doesn’t exist.
Maison Margiela Fall/Winter 2026 Campaign
She plays an elegant leading lady, drifting through shadowy interiors and rain-slicked streets with an anonymous double always a few steps behind. The casting is what makes the idea land. Viewers get a face they know, then watch it get challenged again and again by one they can’t read.

For the fall collection, creative director Glenn Martens keeps pulling at the house’s codes, reworking familiar garments through Second Skin, tapestry treatments, and Bianchetto.

Artisanal masks push that transformation from clothing into identity, blurring Hall’s double as the garments play their own tricks on perception. A tailored jacket or an evening gown might look familiar for a second, until its surface or construction throws that impression off balance.

Anonymity has been part of Maison Margiela’s vocabulary since its founder turned away from fashion’s obsession with the celebrity designer. Martens carries that history forward through his own design language, and Grevet turns it into a psychological game with Hall right at the center of it.
