Savannah Chrisley’s fiancé, Jason Galanis, was once sued alongside his then-wife over an unpaid $40,000 balance on a $120,000 diamond bracelet, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
According to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in Jan. 2012, Beverly Hills jewelry business Six Swords LLC accused Galanis, 56, and his then-wife of failing to make the final two payments on the pricey piece of jewelry.
The complaint alleged the former couple agreed to purchase a custom “15 Row Diamond Bracelet” for $120,000 in December 2010.
Under the terms of their agreement, Galanis and Berger allegedly agreed to pay $60,000 upfront, followed by three monthly installments of $20,000 each.
The jeweler claimed it delivered the bracelet as agreed, but that the couple failed to make their scheduled payments on Feb. 28 and March 31, 2011.
Six Swords later sued the pair for breach of contract, goods sold and delivered, account stated and open book account, seeking the outstanding $40,000 balance, plus interest, court costs and attorney’s fees.
Court records show that a judgement was entered against Galanis and Berger on Aug. 3, 2012. However, the judgment was ultimately satisfied in full, according to a court filing dated Dec. 10, 2012.
The filing does not specify how the judgment was resolved or who made the payment.
Page Six can confirm the couple divorced in 2018.
Reps for Chrisley and lawyers for Galanis did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The revelation comes just days after Chrisley, 29, announced she is engaged to Galanis and expecting their first child together.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum revealed the news Tuesday in an emotional Instagram post, initially keeping her fiancé’s identity under wraps.
“I’ve prayed for this life. I’ve cried for this life. And there were moments I truly wondered if this life would ever be mine. 🥹🤍,” she captioned the video where she showed off the mystery man she dubbed “J” and her growing baby bump.
Her mystery fiancé was later identified as Galanis, a convicted fraudster who is 27 years her senior.
Galanis was sentenced to more than 14 years in federal prison in September 2020 for his involvement in financial fraud schemes, including one that defrauded a Native American tribe and investors out of tens of millions of dollars.
President Donald Trump commuted his prison sentence in March 2025.
As Page Six previously reported, Galanis also served time at the same Florida federal prison camp as Savannah’s father, Todd Chrisley, with their sentences overlapping from January to August 2023.
Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were subsequently pardoned by Trump in May 2025 after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion.
Meanwhile, Savannah has defended her relationship with Galanis amid backlash over their 27-year age difference and his criminal past.
On Tuesday’s episode of her “Unlocked” podcast, the reality star revealed that the couple met through politics while she was campaigning for her parents’ release from prison.
She also disclosed that they got engaged in December 2025, just five months after they started dating, during a vacation in the Cayman Islands.
Chrisley also described her husband-to-be as her “protector,” “fiercest fighter” and “most loyal person.”
“I really don’t care, OK? Like, this person is the love of my life,” Savannah said while addressing criticism of their relationship.
The mom-to-be later shared a sonogram on her Instagram Stories, defending her unborn child amid the scrutiny.
“You are not a headline. You are not a controversy,” she wrote. “You are not defined by anyone’s past, anyone’s mistakes, or anyone’s opinions.”
The couple is planning to tie the knot in May 2027.
