“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Whitney Rose admitted she’s at “peace” over her “devastating” divorce from Justin Rose.

“I’m the one who filed. I made that choice,” Whitney, 40, told SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy on Thursday, as she spoke about her decision to file for divorce for the first time.

“And you see it play out through the season,” she added. “It took me a long time to get here.”

Whitney insisted that she wanted her nearly 17-year marriage to Justin, 58, “to work,” noting she “gave it [her] all” and “tried everything.”

“It’s very sad and hard,” she said, adding, “But I am glowing because I’m finding happiness and peace. I have peace in my heart through all the chaos. I love Justin. I love my family.”

The Bravolebrity explained that now that she and Justin are officially getting divorced, the exes are fully focused on their two children, daughter Bobbie, 16, and son Brooks, 13,

“We are keeping it peaceful, amicable and we’re co-parenting well,” she shared.

Additionally, Whitney pointed out that despite leaving the Mormon Church 20 years ago, her “Mormon roots” have affected how she viewed marriage and divorce.

“I still have that Mormon programming running through my brain that you don’t get divorced,” she stated. “You don’t do that to your family.”

“I grew up in a divorced family, and a childhood that was hard,” Whitney continued, explaining that she didn’t want her kids to struggle during her and Justin’s divorce, so she decided to eventually be honest with them.

She said, “I pushed off doing it and having the conversation with them for so long. I think me choosing to leave the home, separating and nesting, we put that off for so long because I was so scared to tell the kids.”

“But once I told the kids, they were like, ‘Thank you. We want you happy. We want dad happy.’”

Whitney also said she and Justin are focused on co-parenting their two kids (The family of four is seen here in NYC). whitneywildrose/Instagram

And, as Whitney noted, “it’s more selfish of me to stay in a situation where I’m not happy in.”

Whitney further confirmed that her children are doing “amazing” and “are fine because they have two parents who love them.”

“And we are both showing up for them,” she said.

Page Six exclusively revealed that Whitney filed for divorce from Justin in Salt Lake City last Tuesday, hours before she attended Page Six’s second annual “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards.

Whitney submitted a proposed parenting plan as well, we can confirm.

Page Six also exclusively revealed in July that Whitney and Justin were “living separate lives,” with a few informants even saying the two were fully separated.

“They are never together, even when they’re in the same place, like the gym,” an insider explained.

Another source argued that “RHOSLC” is “so bad on relationships,” as Page Six broke the news of Angie Katsanevas’ separation from Shawn Trujillo just two days prior.
