Brandi Glanville is preparing for surgery after being diagnosed with several complex medical conditions after years of unexplained facial issues.
“I’m finally ready to tell you what I’ve actually been fighting and to start sharing some of my worst moments leading up to finally getting diagnosed,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 53, wrote via Instagram Tuesday, alongside a video collage of her ongoing battle.
“I’ve been diagnosed with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis,” she continued.
According to the National Library of Medicine, biofilm production in ESBL-producing Klebsiella and Enterobacter can contribute to antibiotic resistance and make bacterial infections more difficult to treat.
Additionally, Coccidioidomycosis, known as San Joaquin Valley fever, is a lung infection caused by the fungus Coccidioides found in soil around the US, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Meanwhile, Demodex dermatitis is caused by a facial mite that lives in hair follicles. The condition can cause itchy, irritated skin if the mites multiply rapidly in immunocompromised individuals, according to Cleveland Clinic.
The CDC defines mononucleosis — known as the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) — as an infectious disease that spreads through bodily fluids. The infection can cause fatigue, fever, sore throat, rash and swollen lymph nodes.
“I also have a fungal ball in my face that needs to be removed,” Glanville continued. “I have to get the metals from old dental work out of my mouth, my breast implants need to come out, and I’m looking at 4–6 months of daily IV treatment.”
The Bravo star candidly shared that “the treatment has NOT been easy” and she’s seen “very little improvement” so far.
“I still have a couple surgeries ahead of me and months of treatment to go,” she continued, revealing the cost is between $3,300 and $6,000 per month.
“I’m not able to work right now other than my podcast and I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do this mentally or financially,” Glanville cried.
“I just want this s–t OUT of my body. I want my health back. I want my life back. I want to feel like me again.”
Glanville also addressed the compilation of videos she shared from throughout her journey, which show a hard lump on the side of her face and facial disfigurement.
“I’m sharing some really bad moments and I know I don’t look good in these videos,” she wrote. “Honestly, I don’t care. I feel terrible and this is what being sick looks like for me right now. So please be nice in the comments. I’m already fighting enough.”
Glanville had previously shared that she has been subjected to daily 18-hour IV infusions that make it difficult for her to sleep, eat and participate in daily activities to deal with her ongoing health issues.
She also shared a horrifying ultrasound video where her medical team “saw something alive” and “moving” in her face.
Glanville previously shared that she believed her condition was due to a facial parasite and first addressed her disfigurement in 2024 when she blamed her “stress”-induced issues on Bravo.
That same year, she announced that her medical team believed her condition was caused by a parasite that “jumps around” her face. She also pointed blame at her ruptured breast implants.
The Bravolebrity received some answers in June when she announced her benign facial tumor diagnosis after spending six figures on medical costs.
