The musician looked to be wearing Saint Laurent‘s Liza sandal, a strappy design with a pointed toe and statement-making flared heel. The upper features criss-crossing straps across the toes and skinner straps encircling the ankle. The crystal-embellished footwear accompanied a black strapless dress with a large sparkling bird design affixed to the waist. The dress was inspired by one of Saint Laurent’s oft-used motifs — and referenced a painting by Georges Braque called “The Birds.”

The 2026 Met Gala took place on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s exhibition, “Costume Art,” celebrated fashion as an art form, with a dress code of “Fashion Is Art.” The event was co-chaired by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos serving as honorary chairs. The annual benefit raises funds for the Met’s Costume Institute.
