Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Give Couple Coords a Sensual Spin on the 2026 Met Gala Red Carpet

Gabrielle Union went for pure artistry in her Michael Kors look on Monday night in New York City for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2026 Met Gala.

The “Bring It On” alum shimmered in a semisheer brown dress with a flowing train and formfitting, sleeveless silhouette. The look featured a see-through skirt, with allover glittering elements affixed to the delicate fabric.

Union’s husband of 12 years, Dwyane Wade, opted for a sleeveless look and pared back repose, wearing a monochrome black suit vest with sharp lapels and black tank underneath. The couple accessorized with jewelry pieces provided by Tiffany & Co.

Union has been a regular of the Met Gala since 2014, at which she wore a coordinated feathery miniskirt and black, sleeveless crop top to fete the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” exhibition.

Over the years, Union’s styled designs by Prabal Gurung, Dundas and Iris van Herpen, among others. The actress and bestselling author has also been joined by husband Dwyane Wade at past Met Galas, making the couple among the power pairs on the red carpet.

As one of the main fixtures on the red carpet, the couple is among the many duos who make the high-profile event an intimate date night.

The celebrate “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” at the 2025 Met Gala, Union wore a custom design by Prada, with jewelry accessories provided by Tiffany & Co. Wade’s look, also by Prada, complemented the black and white color scheme of Union’s attire for a wholly coordinated couple moment.

The 2026 Met Gala took place on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s exhibition, “Costume Art,” celebrated fashion as an art form, with a dress code of “Fashion Is Art.” The event was cochaired by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos serving as honorary chairs. The annual benefit raises funds for the Met’s Costume Institute.
