Duracell is getting into EV charging in the UK, and it’s partnering with EV charging software company Driivz to help run the network.

Driivz, which is owned by Vontier, announced today that its software platform will power the new Duracell E-Charge ultra-fast charging network across the UK. The Duracell E-Charge network is being operated by The EV Network.

Driivz software helps charge point operators run their networks more efficiently, with tools for accurate billing, transparent settlements, roaming connectivity, real-time charger monitoring, and remote troubleshooting.

“Duracell E-Charge is being built to set a new benchmark for ultra-fast charging in the UK. That means high uptime, simple pricing, and a consistently reliable experience for drivers,” said Mark Bloxham, managing director of Duracell E-Charge. “Driivz gives us the platform to scale quickly while maintaining control, performance, and commercial efficiency as the network grows.”

Driivz said its OCPI roaming capabilities will enable the network to connect with other charging services and apps, increasing charger usage and revenue. Driivz’s analytics platform will also give network operators data on charger performance, uptime, and usage trends as the network expands.

Driivz will provide a branded app and web portal for the Duracell E-Charge network, enabling drivers to find chargers, start sessions, and pay. The companies also say they’ll provide drivers with transparent pricing information, detailed invoices, and charging history.

“Charging networks that can scale, while optimizing their current operations to ensure seamless charging experiences for drivers now and in the years to come, are the networks that will lead the way in the future of mobility,” said Shiri Levi-Laor, CEO of Driivz. “We’re proud to support the rollout of the Duracell E-Charge network across the UK.”

Duracell plans to expand its charging network in the UK to at least 100 charging stations, with 500 charging points by 2030. The company told Electrek last October that it hopes to have its US plans clarified by the end of 2026.
