Ariana Grande is done with her “Wicked” era and ready to step back into the music scene in a pair of archival Louis Vuitton pumps. The singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to surprise her fans by announcing that her new album “Petal” is arriving on July 31.

The actress shared a series of black-and-white photos and clips of herself, that also featured flowers and tree branches, and a shot of her wearing a pair of black high-heel pumps paired with white ruffled socks. Stylist Law Roach then stepped into the conversation to give fans some behind-the-scenes knowledge of Grande’s new era and of the fashion and the shoes included in the teaser clip.

Roach shared that his client, who he worked with early on in her career during her “Dangerous” album era and has reconnected with recently, opted for a pair of archival Louis Vuitton Fetish pumps designed by Marc Jacobs during his tenure as the creative director of the fashion house from 1997 to 2014.

Roach reshared the video clip, and captioned it: “And just like that….She’s Back. Ari wearing Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton fall 2011 Fetish Pumps. 7/31/2026.”

The shoes made their debut on the runway in March 2011 during the brand’s ready-to-wear fall 2011-12 show at Paris Fashion Week. The shoes are designed with sky-high chunky block heels that are contrasted by dainty rounded toes and slim bow-tie Mary Jane-like straps. The shoes feature a concealed platform at the front for added boost and to help offset the towering heel.

The designer used fetish-inspired imagery throughout the show, and featured the Fetish pumps in an array of colors and materials, including the LV Monogram print as well as blue, burgundy, patent leather and python. Grande opted for a pair of the shoes in black patent leather for the video.

“Petal” will be the Grammy winner’s eight studio album. Her most recent album was 2024’s “Eternal Sunshine,” which was released in March 2024. The album dropped ahead of the first “Wicked” movie, which came out in November 2024, and earned her first Oscar nomination for her role as Glinda.

The news of the new album comes just months away from the start of “The Eternal Sunshine Tour,” which will kick off on June 6 at Oakland Arena in Oakland, and end on Sept. 1 at The O2 Arena in London, consisting of 41 shows.
