Welcome back to Beauty Marks: Vogue’s weekly edition of the best moments in celebrity beauty, from Vogue editors’ IG feeds, and all the glam of the fashion and pop culture landscapes. Each week, we curate the nail art to pin for your next nail appointment, new recruits to ‘Team Bob’, and major red carpet moments from the week’s most glamorous affairs. As always, it’s as much about celebrity beauty as it is about the makeup artists, hairstylists, and nail artists, as well as the creators crafting the trends you’re about to see everywhere.
As Fashion Month draws to a close, the beauty mood is anything but one-note. This week, the best looks played with contrasts: soft-focus skin met razor-sharp eyeliner, romantic curls were paired with sculptural silhouettes, and the prettiest pastel palettes came with a little attitude. At Louis Vuitton, Dame Pat McGrath conjured a cool-toned, high-gloss beauty moment on Alina Timo, while McKenna Grace made a case for pale pastels and a dramatically flicked side-bang at Miu Miu. Elsewhere, Arca took festival glam into more experimental territory with graphic liner and a delicate flush of pink, while Elisha Herbert embraced a smoky, high-shine look for Mugler.
There was plenty of romance in the mix, too. Olivia Dean’s heaven-high curls and suede-soft skin, Emma Stone’s golden auburn hair and blurred lip, and Naomi Watts’s tousled, rock-star bob made a persuasive case for beauty that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The takeaway? This fall, i’ts all about balancing the pretty with the punchy.
