Celine Dion fans: Assemble!
On September 12, the global superstar will be kicking off a brand new Paris residency, where she will be playing a slew of live shows at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, France through May 2027. It’s an extremely welcomed return to the stage for the singer, who, behind the scenes, has been battling a rare neurological disorder for the past few years. But now, Dion is ready to grace the stage with her presence once again—not to mention deliver us those powerhouse vocals.
While her stage looks for the performances will likely be a main draw for the show—Dion has always leaned into theatrical style, as evidenced by her long-running Ceasars Palace residency over the course of 16 years—she is serving up high-fashion looks before the residency even begins. Case in point: Over the past week, Dion has been spotting exiting her hotel in the City of Light, and each time she has treated the streets of Paris as her own personal runway.
Just a few days prior to those high-fashion serves, Dion also exited the hotel in a chic Alaïa design. The classic trench coat featured draping and pleating in all the right places, making her outerwear feel more like a structural gown, paired with a pair of cool cut-out boots and gigantic shield shades. There’s simply no one doing it like her.
The question is: Are these polished, yet modern looks a sneak peek of what we can expect on her Paris stages? We sure hope so! They are likely the brainchild of her longtime stylist and creative director Annie Horth, though Dion has also worked with Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach in the past. Whoever is responsible, one thing is for sure: These stylish sightings have us even more excited to make her grand return. Remember Dion’s epic Dior Couture for her 2024 Olympics performance? That is now set as the bar, and she is bound to exceed it.
