Vice President JD Vance’s brood just got bigger.

The politician’s wife, Usha Vance, has given birth to the couple’s fourth child, a boy named Alec Neel Vance.

“We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning. Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” the couple said in a statement on Instagram Sunday.

“The incredible military doctors and staff members of Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit have been a blessing,” Usha and JD added.

“We are deeply thankful for all they have done for our family.”

JD and the second lady, who tied the knot in 2014, started their family three years later with son Ewan, who was born in June 2017.

Ewan became a big brother in February 2020 when brother Vivek arrived.

The following year, sister Mirabel was born in December 2021.

In November 2025, JD, 41, and Usha, 40, announced they had another son on the way in a joint Instagram post.

“We’re very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy,” they wrote at the time. “Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July.”

Elaborating on the “exciting and hectic time,” the duo added, “We are particularly grateful for the military doctors who take excellent care of our family.”

They also thanked “the staff members who do so much to ensure [they] can serve the country while enjoying a wonderful life with [their] children.”

The reveal came on the heels of divorce speculation, sparked by Usha being spotted in public without her wedding ring.

Her spokesperson explained away the sparkler’s absence in a statement to People.

“She is a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes,” Usha’s rep said at the time.

JD joked during a March speech in Michigan that he was “persuasive” in convincing his wife to have another child — after she previously insisted he could either “become vice president or … have a fourth baby.”

Usha, who met her husband when they were both attending Yale Law School, clarified to NBC News that same month she had “never closed the door” on conceiving again.

“I just wasn’t sure,” she told the outlet. “But as time passed, I realized that I was feeling more and more excited about that possibility.”
